right now i am taking rozerem to help me sleep. well to HELP os the operative word. im taking prednisone the most evil drug and i cannot sleep at all. SO anyhow, im taking rozerem at the moment and its really not working. it still takes me 3-4 hours to falls asleep, and i have either wild dreams or horrible nightmares that wake me up with anxiety attacks so bad. is anyone else having this problem?
i just cant find something that works, i have tried vistoril, ambien, lunesta also, and the klonopins for anxiety dont help at all either. is there anything else i can ask for to try to sleep?

Bunnypucker,

Sleep is a huge issue for people with BP, and without BP as well. I have tried so many meds for sleep out there it is not funny. I am not on rozemon, but I know it is a newer drug out there. I am sorry it is causing sleep disturbances (nightmares). You should bring it up to your Dr. next time you have an appointment. I have taken ambien, seroquel, zyprexa, trazadone, and 3-4 diff types of benzos for sleep. For me trazadone was the longest med for sleep I have been on. It was the best one for me, but everyone is different. Best wishes on finding sleep. :-)

Hi Bunny,

I too was a lot like Olivia...I have tried many different sleep meds in the past.  I have been on trazadone for a long time now. It has been the best so far. I also take a kicker of 1mg xanax with it. The xanax gets in my system faster allowing me to get relaxed before the trazadone finally kicks in.  Otherwise my mind would be racing and I would be tossing and turning waiting for the trazadone to kick in.

BTW...I too have Crohns and am on prednisone from time to time. The trazadone and xanax combo still work for me during those times.
