Oh Miss Olivia?

How are you feeling ducks? Keeping up with school okay? Is it finals week? Depression in check?

Serafena,

Sorry for going MIA for a few days. I just have been going through a lot stuff lately, and trying to stay sane at the same time. My mood has been good, I have not been feeling depressed at all. Which is about the only positive thing right now, but I am glad about it. I do not think I would be handling things well if I was in my previous state. School, do I have to say anything. Okay, it's been so-so, hopefully I will pass all my classes. That's all I can say.

Phew. Okay. Just checking. Just making sure you're okay! I'm glad to hear your mood's good. Hang in there, semester's almost over. You can be MIA all you want, as long as you're okay.

Contrary to what I thought, my depression seems to have gone away. I should have known that it was only going to last a short while, but it felt like it was going to last a long time. That was the longest episode I have had in more than three years. Unfortunately the older I get my ups are getting worse and lasting much longer and my downs last a shorter time, but are still quite intense. I am still trying to get used to how the episodes work, because it is never the same.

Hi Olivia,

I'm glad that you're feeling better. Heck, when I'm feeling low, it seems like I'm there forever too! And it's sooooo hard to get the energy to even THINK of ways to be positive and help get myself out of the funk. Sometimes I just have to ride the wave. At least we have people here on the forumn that can help us out!  :o)

Anyway I'm so glad to hear that you are continuing to push ahead. Work, school, etc., that's a lot to deal with when you're dealing with mood fluctuations and changing meds. I can't imagine how I could possibly handle it. I just stay at home and try to keep things running smoothly around here (my kids are older, so they take care of themselves) and even this is a challenge for me.

Take care Olivia. Wishing you wellness in everything you do.
