Here is a quote from Friday I thought you might appreciate.

"Too many good docs are getting out of the business.  Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country."

Some quotes are so stupid it is frightening.  Hugs MK

Today's quote:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Isn't that the truth? MK

I've heard that one before. I think David Letterman used it on his show. Lauri (dxed 4/11/96)

Along those lines, I saw a headline in a local paper over the weekend that made me scratch my head.  It said, "Man kills self, before shooting wife and son" or something along those lines.  Makes you wonder...................

"One of my hardest parts of my job is to console the family members who have lost their life."

I had trouble typing this one, trying to correct it as I typed. LOL What a difference a few words changed makes!

One of the hardest parts of my job is to console the family members who have lost loved ones.

Hi MK and Lauri, I thought I would stop by and check on everyone. MK I hope your daughter is doing better!

I was reading these quotes and they made me laugh out loud!

I have one for you, after I asked my onc about the terrible side effects i have been having from the chemo he said,
"if it goes away it won't be permanent"

I am so tempted to have
"I guess it was permanent" on my headstone!

Happy 2008 to all.

BTW I have a website for breast cancer for any newbies who need facts and info on the latest breakthroughs if it is ok to post it here- MK just delete it if it isn't ok!

Hi Jessie, How are YOU doing? Carolyn is still going full steam ahead with a very anemic blood count. She insists she does not feel all that bad, just tired. She has taken her first two weeks of Xeloda and is on the resting week, with no bad side effects. She still has not had a transfusion. What drug is giving you the bad side effects?

Here is today's quote. "Home is important. It's important to have a home."

Is that opposed to living under a bridge or in an empty building?

Hi MK,
I did xeloda for 3 months. I hope that Carolyn is tolerating it ok. My biggest problem was the diarrhea and towards the end I started to get the hand/foot syndrome. I used bag balm and then switched to Dr. Scholls Foot Cream. It helped a lot. My skin is still coming off my hands and feet along with some nails, but it isn't painful anymore.

Isn't Carolyn the daughter on the farm? I am sure she has bag balm in the house! she should use it every day.

Some oncs say it is ok to take B6 to combat the HFS but my onc doesn't believe in any supplements while on chemo because they reduce the effectiveness of it.

But I was drinking liquid immodium like water!

I hope she doesn't get too anemic!

That is a good quote- your response reminds me of that Saturday Night live skit about the guy who lives in a van by the river.... that is home too I guess!!

I am in rads - again.

I hated it the first time and I hate it this time too!!
