Thanks again for your concern!!!! I am feeling better for sure! It is unbelievable what a good dose of antibiotics did for me! My blood sugar is absolutely great for the first time in months and months! My blood pressure is also great. Guess I did need a rest at the spa! Sure, Lori, it is a spa alright when they walk in at 6 am flip on the overhead light and say "I am here to get some blood!!!!" I am still in pain, but that will always be. I just need to learn to lie more than sit and stand.

about Carolyn, she has blood work weekly and it waivers back and forth in the low range. When the hemoglobin gets below 8 I guess she will have to have that blood transfusion but it stays between 8 and 8.4. She did tell me her platelet count is getting lower, tho. I am not sure what that means but I can't feel very good about it.

She called me yesterday to check on me and to see if the very, very high winds were causing fires around here. They were all over north TX yesterday, gusts of 53 mph. One community close to where we used to live lost 14 homes. There was a fire blocking the road on the way Carolyn's house causing the school bus to detour and it took Natalie an extra hour to get home. She sounded really stressed and worried about fires.

We put in a very rough night last night. Missy, my 14 yr old dog, was really sick. I actually thought she had a stroke and was dying in my arms when she heaved and threw up all over me. She did that a couple more times, and finally it looked like she was going to feel better. She has not gotten up to go outside yet this morning but she has stirred and is sleeping on her pillow beneath me under the computer desk. I know it is only a matter of time with her, but I think she will be ok for now.

Thanks again for asking, you girls take care, too.

love u, MK

I haven't been back to this site since you came home.  I haven't read about the green jello yet, but I'm glad you sound so good!  It sounds like you really got what you needed.  I'm really sorry your dog is going through so much.  That's all you need!

Be good to yourself, or Ill be talking to that DH of yours and telling him to have ready that certan piece of wood we all know about!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care, girl.

MK,

I'm glad to hear you are home and feeling better.  Take care of yourself.  You and Carolyn are in my thoughts often and I hope things make a turn for the better for both of you.

I hope your dog is doing better.  It's hard when our pets are sick, because they can't tell us what hurts.

I just wanted to add a note that Missy is ok. She was strange for a few days, but now she is acting normal again. As normal as an old dog acts. Sleeping most of the time. My blood sugar continues to be good. I am checking in with my regular dr today. Hugs MK

Mary Kay

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.  Take care of yourself and if you talk to Jo Ann tell her "hello" from me.
