I will use red in honor of the day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and does something enjoyable, even if it's nothing (like I'm doing!).

I had another CT scan of the chest and abdomen yesterday.  I think my new onc said she would do one every 6 months, even though there was nothing the last time.  I have decided I don't like having them done.  They seem to have trouble feeding the catheter into my usually good vein.  This time they used the back of my hand and it HURT!  I guess it's all part of the wonderful deal.

Gee but aren't we a bunch of stick in the muds? Valentine's day and you were the only one sweet enough to recognize it. I did get a lovely card from my husband with a very special message. I also got a dozen red roses on the 13th because that was the anniversary of the day we met, Feb. 13, 1957. A few years ago....

On the 14th we finally had to let Missy go to doggie heaven. She was getting worse and there was no point of keeping her alive to suffer. She was probably the best dog I ever had and I have had many. I just love animals, especially dogs. Poor Pity has never been without her momma and we have been concerned about her. She has health issues, too, and I am sure she is missing Missy. So I started looking at the classified ads and on the internet. I'm sure it was meant to be because within an hour or so I found a male Yorkie who is a bit big for Yorkie standards, he weighs ten pounds and that put him in a much lower price range than the usual Yorkie. The lady sent me a picture and he is so adorable I called her right back and said, "He is mine!" So we are going to meet her sometime this weekend or Monday at the latest. She is in OK north of Dallas so she will meet us part way. His name is Jimmy. Wish I could share a picture.

Hugs MK

Kathy I am sorry I meant to mention your CT scan problem. I am down to one vein on my good arm, too. It was used for CT scan and blood tests when I was admitted to the hospital. Then it blew and they needed to put the IV in again. The used the under part of my forearm. Now that is a tender place and also a pain to deal with the needle and the lines from it. Finding the vein made a huge black and blue mess!!!!! But when it all came out it healed faster than the usual black and blue spot does.

I think your doctor is wise to keep close tabs on you, even if your veins don't like it.

Big hugs, MK

MK,

I'm sorry you had to put your dog to sleep, but glad you found another one.  It's so hard to do.  I've only had to do it once so far and it was the hardest thing.  I just cried and cried.

The previous CT scan, the needle was put the the forearm area and you are right - it hurts!
L & H,
Kathy
