Hi there ladies!  Just thought I'd give you an update on my schooling.

I am already in the middle of the 2nd semester!  I can't believe it.  I started 'working' at a hospital as my clinical work the second week of September.  I began talking x-rays right away, under supervision of course.  I have seen and experienced some interesting things.  I feel much more comfortable now, but still get nervous.  I think I'm pretty good at positioning the patients, but am still having trouble understanding the physics part of it all.  That will come in time.

After the first couple of weeks, my body got used to the hours, getting up early and not getting as much sleep.  Each day after school or the hospital, I come to work and put in enough hours to get me my minimum 20 hours to keep my benefits.  So far it's all working out.  DH has been so sweet by having dinner ready almost every night when I get home around 7:30PM.  We had some work done to our patio, so are dining alfresco more these days.  It's really a nice way to end the day.

That's it for now.

Kathy

Wow, has it really been that long? I remember when you decided. We are along the same timeline for this disease -- you already at 4 years and me coming up next month. How time flies!

I know - time sure does fly.  I can hardly believe it's been 4 years for us.  We have come a long way.

Good going, Kathy. I know going back to school is not easy for non-traditional women (read more mature), so give yourself a big pat on the back and know that you did the right thing. Keep up the good work. Hugs, Lauri

Isn't it nice when dinner is ready when you come home?  I love that when I am working late.  So glad that you enjoy your new line of work.

Wow I am so impressed with your accomplishments. I know it has taken hard work and a great attitude!!! Your hubby with his problems has turned out to be a big help to you as you were to him when he was recuperating!!! You go girl! I'll be ready to cheer when you graduate. Hugs MK

Thanks everyone.  Yes, DH wasn't as excited about this venture when I made the decision, but now, he's much more supportive.  He's even talking about retiring when I graduate and get employed raking in the big bucks!  LOL tongue

Kathy
