Chuck seems to be in more pain than before.  Yesterday he had his third Zometa treatment and next week is his fourth chemo.  Other than a sore tongue he has had little problem with chemo.  The onc should be scheduling tests soon.  We see him next week.

Carolyn's tumor markers went up about 20 points so she is scheduled for more tests to see what is going on there.  She has continued to do well and feel well.  She finally got her SS disability, too.

I'm doing fine medically but I wear down easily and need more rest.  I have been riding the wheelchair around the house as much as I can to save my legs and hips.  I need to get a way to put it in the van.  I have a lift for my scooter but it won't work for the chair and the scooter needs a battery and some tires.  Dry rot is a problem here when rubber gets older.  I bought the scooter used about eight years ago.

Take care everyone!  Hugs MK

Hi, MK...
Sorry to hear Chuck's pain is worse. I know the Zometa can initially increase bone pain, but I don't know how long "initially" is. I'm glad to hear that Carolyn's SSI went through. That must be a relief for them. I don't understand why, if you apply for disability for medical reasons, the medical plan doesn't immediately go into effect. I hope Obama fixes that with his "universal healthcare" plan. Let us know how her tests go.

You make sure you get plenty of rest. And get that scooter fixed! If you bought that one used, shouldn't insurance buy one new for you??? Check that out!

Love and hugs...
