I am up to doing some baking for my co-workers.  They miss my goodies.  I did a little yesterday and a little today.  I don't want to over do it all at once.  I started baking on the side for sale a few months before my diagnosis.  I've done it off and on for my previous co-workers.  I've always dreamed of opening a bakery!  I just love making things that people like!  Right after I left my last job, I did a LOT of baking for Thanksgiving and got way over my head, but I pulled it off.  It was tough!  I'm hoping this will be therapeutic for my recovery.

I'm impressed. I just made a small cake with no carbs that was supposed to be beaten for 6 minutes. well, I didn't feel like it. I just wanted the chocolate. So, it is about 1/4 in high - but it is chocolate.
Take care.

Sure wish I knew what it is about baking that seems to make people so happy with the world. I drive myself nuts. I will go head to head with anyone in cooking, but baking I would embarrass myself. My mother was the baker in the family. She could make a pie dough so flakey, you could actually almost lift see through layers of the dough. Mine has been known to break a knife. Could that be why I do not find any peace with a rolling pin? As Ellen said keep your chin up but if you bake like I do you probably have a great big old smudge of flour on it. L&H Joyce

Baking, you're baking!! I'm on my way. Las Vegas is not that far from San Gabriel; besides the drive with all of that fresh air will give me an appetite. Sending you "floury" hugs, Luci

You are all welcome to pop on over!  LOL  I fancy myself a pretty good baker.  I've been doing it since I can remember.  My oldest sister, Judy, taught me.  She died suddenly when I was in 6th grade, so it is also close to my heart.  I bake to sell, so I made $52 yesterday and left them wanting more!  That's the way I always do it.  That was with just a leisurely baking session, too.  Someday I WILL open that bakery!

P. S.  I'm making persimmon bread right now.  It's in the oven!  First time I've tried it.

Wow you really are a baker. I love to cook and bake, too, but have to cut back now. My DH eats to live and I live to eat, so you know where most of the goodies goes. Want to share some good baking ideas or recipes? I am sure you will find a receptive audience here. LOL. Hugs MK

I bake cookies, sweet breads, muffins, pies, etc.  My crumb cake muffins and pumpkin bread seem to be the most popular.  I make a mean pumpkin pie, too.  I am fortunate to be doing pretty well and trying not to over do it.

Ok Kathy, if a taste tester is what you need, here I am, lol. I am a cooker, not a baker. Please make sure you rest in between.
