Hi everyone,
I noticed a enlarged supraclavical lymph node on my left side.  After and ultrasound and ct they said that yes I have 2 lymph nodes that are 1cm by 1cm large and that there were some spots on my breast.  To be honest at this point I wasnt paying attention to which one.  So tomorrow I go in for a mammogram and Monday I go in for a lymph node biopsy.  I am not a very good patient, so was wondering about he biopsy.  I know that they will numb the area, and I may feel pressure..but no pain..can anyone comment?  Anyone else have a similiar situation?
Thanks in advance tongue

My biopsies have been surgical. The first ones were under local, the last one they put me under. Neither were painful. I maybe took a tylenol 3 after each, but that's about it. Mine were breast biopsies, however. The lymph nodes were harvested and biopsied at the time of mastectomy. I'm assuming you're talking about a sentinel node biopsy, and I've never had one done. So sorry you are having to come here for information. I hope someone else will respond to your post who has had a similar procedure.

Hugs...

Thanks Bev.

I went for my mammogram today and the found a "spot" on my right breast that they were unable to determine what it was.  So now I am off for a breast biopsy as well.

I have been lucky that all my drs have been so kind and I read here to ask for your results before you leave, which I did and the radiologist did call me back and showed me everything.

Hoping for the best.
