Well, I went back to the dermatologist for biopsy results and stitches out today.  He walked in the room, spent several very quiet minutes reading my path report, flipping back through pages and re-reading, and finally said, "Well, the pathology report says there's nothing wrong with your arm.  Let me look at it again."  I stick out my arm and he pulls down his little magnifier.  Looks at my arm for a few minutes, then goes back to the report.  Spends another minute reading, then says, "The problem is, this report is CRAP." He says, "You know, it wasn't even given to a dermatic pathologist, and that lab has two of them.  I'm calling the lab and giving them "hello" about it, and then I'm going to be having a little converstation with my nurse, as well, because she should know better than to let them get away with this."
So...I'm on a steroid cream for two weeks to eliminate any inflammation in the tissue, then we'll re-biopsy two weeks after that, and this biopsy will to Richmond, Virginia to be read.
In the meantime, I guess I just have to keep looking at the "ugly spot," because it is back and bigger it was before the biopsy.
I'm bummed.  Maybe I've just got a plain old case of leprosy.
Love and hugs,

Dämn girl, what is going on with this board? It seems that anyone who is having anything done is watching everything go wrong. It appears that everyone's planet Uranus is in the outhouse and staying there.
And to top it off, I'll bet they still charge you for their incompetence.  You'll remain in my prayers until this is resolved.
Love You, Jo-Ann

Bev, sorry that this happened. Good grief, why is it we always end up on the end of medical incompetence?? Jo-Ann might have something. Something smells in the outhouse. Hope you get some answers soon. Hugs, Lauri

Well the good news is he is honest. Nice to hear honesty for a change. No excuses. Boy I am sick of those excuses. I really am so sorry this has happened to you. I love the something smells in the outhouse idea. I will have to remember that one. Meanwhile we are waiting with you and hope all goes well. L&H JOYce

Oh NO! LIke JOYce said, (I like that) at least he was honest. Hope they get that outhouse cleaned up soon and you get correct results. Waiting here with you and sending hugs and prayers.

Yeah, I gotta go wid da girls on this one. I was impressed with his honesty. I can imagine a doc keeping his mouth shut and keeping a patient in the dark about his complaint. Glad he didn't hope you're a little encouraged about that.

I'm praying it's a self-important break-out

Hooray for your dr's honesty, Bev, but boo to everything else. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. Try to relax until you know more. But the incompetency is mind-boggling. Hugs, Luci

Hi Bev,
Ditto to what everyone else said about the honest doc.  It's definitely refreshing to hear that there are medical personnel who 'fess up to mistakes.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

Yes, you bet ditto. How very unusual. They almost always stick up for each other of at least keep quiet. He's right. This is crap. The whole matter. Praying it all gets taken care of soon and you are well. Hugs and love, Di
