Well, I went back to the dermatologist for biopsy results and stitches out today. He walked in the room, spent several very quiet minutes reading my path report, flipping back through pages and re-reading, and finally said, "Well, the pathology report says there's nothing wrong with your arm. Let me look at it again." I stick out my arm and he pulls down his little magnifier. Looks at my arm for a few minutes, then goes back to the report. Spends another minute reading, then says, "The problem is, this report is CRAP." He says, "You know, it wasn't even given to a dermatic pathologist, and that lab has two of them. I'm calling the lab and giving them "hello" about it, and then I'm going to be having a little converstation with my nurse, as well, because she should know better than to let them get away with this."
So...I'm on a steroid cream for two weeks to eliminate any inflammation in the tissue, then we'll re-biopsy two weeks after that, and this biopsy will to Richmond, Virginia to be read.
In the meantime, I guess I just have to keep looking at the "ugly spot," because it is back and bigger it was before the biopsy.
I'm bummed. Maybe I've just got a plain old case of leprosy.
Love and hugs,
