I finally made it in! Just wanted to check in on my ladies. I hope you all had a nice Holiday. I wish us a HEALTHY new year. I got a fortune cookie that said * Happier days are definitely ahead for you. Struggle has ended* So, if happier days aren't ahead, I am writing those people a letter! skull LOL I better get good news about my tumor markers on the 14th! I go and get my CA 27-29 on the 11th and see Onc on that Friday. I just don't think I am ready to go back on chemo. I will have to go back on that crap that messed up my stomach and I could only eat ice. I don't have anymore weight I can lose. I am only 125 now and I'm 5'7. I am going to have to get me some of those padded underwear b/c I don't have any meat left on my butt! LOL I need a soft/padded seat to sit on for longer periods of time or my legs will begin to ache.

I am just happy to be here and posting. Last year at this time I was in the hospital getting Whole Brain Radiation. Then a week later for bone mets. What a crappy beginning that was. I was kind of nervous when this past week came around. But it wasn't me that was in the hospital today, it was DH. He had to have knee surgery. He had a lot of advanced arthur under his kneecap that was from postoperational reconstruction from 10 years ago. And they can't fix it. They touched up some minscus (sp)problems and that was all they could do. So that isn't good. Especially since his job has him on his feet for 8-10 hours a day. If they find out about that, he's gone. GM won't mees around with someone who can't do their job putting those trucks out. So that worries me some. But we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

I am glad I got in and I am going to try and read some posts if it will let me!

L&H to you all!

Shelley,

It was so great seeing you post sweetie. Best of luck to you with those tumor markers. I will be saying a prayer for you.

So sorry to hear that your DH is having knee problems. Boy, I can sympathize with him. I had arthroscopic knee surgery on my kneecap just 5 weeks ago, so I really can relate. I had a tear in my meniscus (sp?) and a cyst in the middle of my kneecap. Going the physical therapy route right now, sure hope that it does some good soon! Is your hubby doing PT?

Best of luck to you. I think of you often Shelley.

BTW......loved the fortune cookie saying. Let's hope that it is 100 per cent correct.

Hugs to you and hubby,
Debbie

Hi, So Shelley got no butt or belly? I will tell you what a good friend I am.... I will lend you some of mine, and I will not even ask for it back! How is that for being a good friend? I am just all heart. Seriously please let us know how things go. I really hope you can stay on this and not have to go back to that ice sucking treatment. I will be waiting to hear. Is Dh suffering from old injuries on the sports field? I know mine can tell you what game he hurt which body part in. Can they just get rid of someone because they are hurt? You really do not need that worry right now. Love ya and give sweetness a kiss from me. Joyce

Hey girlfriend!

Just wondering, have you checked your PC for hijackers? I am bogged down with spyware, adware, and hijackers right now, trying to clean them all up. This is causing excessive error pages to appear, and I too am having trouble sometimes.

But so glad you feel well, and will keep my fingers crossed for lower tumor markers. And I have some butt you can have too, give you a little more padding.

yeah

L&H,

Lori

Now you all wait one cotton pickin minute, if Shells needs some extra fat and backside, I certainly think the biggest should share and I am willing to concede that I fit that bill. Seriously Shelley, I am glad you managed to fight your way back on the board. I wish I knew the answers to why you had problems. It is probably just as Lori said, gremlins moving in. Take care, let us know when you need us there and there we will be. Hugs and prayers, MK

forgot to mention, someone here (Cathi or Lauri maybe?) mentioned caffeine can affect tumor marker results... i can't say for sure, but the one time mine was high (at 21) I did have a huge cup of coffee, and it was a morning appointment....so... ya may want to skip Starbucks that morning!

Shelley,

What a nice surprise to see your post. Glad you're OK. I was thinking about you on New Year's Day and hoping that this year is much better than last. Stay healthy, my friend.

L&H,
Rita
