and comfortable in our homes.  The board has been a little slow and I just hope it is because it is mid-January and we are all a little slow at this time of the year anyway.

We have had some snow today.  Not much, 2-4 inches expected in our area.  My DDIL had to drive from Toledo today with the little ones with her.  She made it home OK which was a big relief.  My DS was in Baltimore, Maryland at a coaches conference and was not able to make the trip with her.  She did good!!!!

My family and I are going well.  I have my final reconstruction surgery on March 4th.  I am so glad I don't have to make any more reconstruction decisions and that after 1 1/5 years from dx. I only have to see the docs for checks on my health status.

I just wanted to check in and see how you all are doing and say Hello.  I need to sign-off and get ready for my RCIA class and pick up my DDIL whom is my sponsor.

I have all of you in my prayers,

Candy

Boy, Candy, RCIA brings back some pleasant memories for me. I used to do some work in RCIA, but mostly CCD. And I'm plenty warm. It should be around 70 again today. We need the warmth to dry us out a bit. Glad to know things are going well. It's always nice to hear from you.

Rita

Hi:

RCIA? is that a cancer support group?  We don't have it here.  Although, now that I may have more time.....

So I'm also trying to keep warm.  It's darned chilly up here!  I had a moment yesterday and last night one of my advisors has called pre-dissertation OCD.  Thankfully he answers his emails in Sunday Mornings!  He told me I was catastrophising and making mountains out of mole hills.  It was very nice of him to respond so quickly, but, tell that to my colon! LOL  I really thought I had screwed up a dealbreaker.

Now if I could just sleep right.

8 more days

Hi all, chilly here in Washington State. It is better than yesterday thought. We had a wind chill of 1* yesterday, BRRRRRRR! Now it is a toasty 24*! We have had about 3 or 4 inches at most of snow. Just enough to make a real mess on the floors. I try not to look at it, LOL! Well hope everyone is safe and warm. I am just getting over a rotten cold. Miss you all. L&H, Gail

The sun has been shining here today but it is not warm. It is in the 40s now so I guess to some of you that is warm. My mother called awhile ago to tell me they had snow in Pittsburgh and she was stuck inside. I watched the Philly/Minn football game and knitted for awhile. Very quiet and uneventful for me, but I guess Joyce and Vic are celebrating...............LOL Stay warm, happy and healthy. I don't know about RCIA but I am guessing it might be church related?????? We are into our fourth day of the arctic cold front. Still well below zero at night and into the single digits (if it gets that warm) during the day. But, the sun has been shining, which helps make up for the cold. At least the cars start. It is supposed to be nicer toward the end of next week, and then we get a real January thaw the following week. March is only six weeks away. Spring IS on the way. In the meantime, we are mourning the Vikings loss, but it would have been embarrasing to have them move any further in the playoffs. Good grief, this has been an embarrassing year. We can only hope next season is better. DH and I may head for Hinkley on Thursday (if the weather is good) for a little fun at the casino. There were $10 coupons in our Sunday newspaper. With the coupon from my mother, that's $20 for a some fun. Maybe we'll get lucky. DH and I went to see Mama Mia! on stage downtown Minneapolis last week. I was delightful. A real happy evening. If you get a chance to see it, please do. You will leave smiling. I hope everyone is having a good week. The iV board is really quiet right now, too. Must be the time of the year. Hugs to all, Lauri

Well I am enjoying myself in wonderful SE Pennsylvania. Its been wonderful here. Cold and Colder. Wet and wetter. Now if I were only a polar bear I would be so happy. They are having their annual polar bear beach party. I am so sorry I had to miss it. As for the Vikings losing, I know all about that. The Eagles make a practice of winning up to a point where you think this is the year and then they choke. If they ever do win I have to admit I will not believe it. So I can certainly sympathize. Anyone from this area knows how it feels to make the playoffs only to go home and say next year. But they better hurry because I am getting a little long in the tooth waiting. As for the new world of initials I am also interested in what that could be. Good luck with finishing up and please let us know what those initials mean. L&H Joyce

RCIA.... Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It is the process that adults take to convert or become members of the Catholic Church. It has been a wonderful faith journey that will continue for the rest of my life. I will become a confirmed member during Easter Vigil. Some of the class members will also be baptised and we all will take communion for the first time in the Church.

The Church is the St. Thomas More Newman Center on Ohio State's campus. The Church is run by the Paulist Fathers which missions in several states to students. They seem to have a more understanding and accepting mission then some of the other parishes in the area.

Hope this helps. I know I am initials challenged too.

Love and hugs to you all,

Candy
