and got a lot done around the house. Cleaned gutters, deck and patios, weeded the hosta beds, planted a few more hostas (my hubby is addicted to collecting every variety he can find!)... finally looks pretty good out there! And of course, now that the work is done, it is just too blasted hot to get out there and enjoy the fruits of my labor! I think that even my sweat is sweating! And as usual, I'm just thankful for being here. That is one of two gifts that cancer has given me. The other is the wonderful friends I wouldn't have otherwise known.

Hugs to all the breast friends out there!

Sounds great, Bev! Just be sure to keep the deer away or they will turn your hosta bed into a salad bar. I've been using a repellant, as they have decapitated all of my day lillies and even got to some hanging baskets of impatiens.

I bought a bunch of those inexpensive solar lights and scattered them around the hosta beds, because the deer were having quite a good time munching on the hostas. I move them around every now and again, and the deer have stayed out of the beds ever since I put the lights in. (knock on wood!)
