This is a 2-birthday day.  Happy Birthday to Kitty, too. Enjoy the cake and ice cream today. Hope you are surviving winter out there on the North Dakota plains. When is that grandbaby due? I know you are looking forward to that special event. Warm hugs and love, Lauri

Happy Birthday, Kitty! We sure picked a cold month to be born, didn't we? That's ok -- we can warm our hands by the fire from all of our birthday candles! lol

Have a special day with your family.

Hey Kitty,

So sorry I am late for the celebration. At any rate, I hope that you had a wonderful, exciting, happy, fantastic and special birthday. I am sure that Leon did something extra special for you...........maybe a trip to a local Casino?????

Sending you a great big birthday {{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}.

I nearly missed the big party.  Thank you all for your Birthday wishes.  Happy birthday to my birthday budds also.

No big celebration here.  Leon and Scott (my oldest) went to the north central part of the state to an Agricultural Show today and will be back tomorrow.  I had to work till 8pm, and now a I am defrosting my freezer. ha  What we do for fun when we get older.  LOL

Laurie, grandbaby #1 is due April 17th, and we are going to have another grandbaby in September.  Scott and Laurie said that is my birthday present from them. ha  What a wonderful year it will be.

Can't even really complain about the weather.  It is close to 40 here, dreary and a little foggy, but that's better than snow and ice.

Better get back to my freezer.  We are doing a major house overhaul and the freezer needed to be moved, so I emptied it and am defrosting so it can be moved out.  It is one of those oldy, but not so goody ones and it is truly going out with the other parts of the house that are being replaced. ha  I am trying to make up my mind between two different counter top patterns and have about 3 pieces of flooring for each of those counter tops.  Wish I had you all here to give your opinions and help me decide.  Am looking forward to it being done, we have been in a dusty, messy, mess since January 3rd.  But it will be nice when it is done.

Take care all and again, thanks for the birthday celebration.
Love and God Bless,

Kitty

NOOOOO! We do not defrost freezers on our birthdays!! That is one of the most detested jobs I know of. In fact, my husband did it last time when I was away. The time before that it was summer. We took everything out of the freezer and moved it out into the driveway and used the hose on it. Boy was that great. The ice melted really fast, it was easy to clean and rinse. And of course, he had to do most of it that time, too. Thank God for self defrosting refrigerators. I hated defrosting them too. LOL Hope you do celebrate when the guys get back.

On another note, I will be having a great grandchild about the time you have your first grandbaby in April. They say it will be a girl but the first outfit I knitted is mint green so it will work either way. Now I am knitting and thinking pink. I love baby things. Do you know what the sex of the baby is?

Hugs MK

MK, congratulations on the pending birth of a great-grand. I can only imagine how exciting that must be. And, I am with you. Kitty, a birthday is NOT time to defrost the freezer. Glad you are getting a respite between cold snaps. You house remodeling project sounds monumental. I know we had a mess with roofing and siding this fall. I can only imagine tearing out a kitchen (but, I sure would love to do it). Good luck. Hugs, Lauri

What, defrosting your freezer on your b'day, absolutely NOT!!! Stop that immediately, Kitty and get out the ice cream to put on your cake. Happy Birthday wishes, my friend. L&H's, Luci

Thanks for your thoughts about my monumental awful job of defrosting the freezer, but it wasn't bad.  It's an upright and my vacuum has an area to blow air, so I prop the door of the freezer open, aim the hose in there and came into visit with you all.

It was done in about 1 hour.  Now it is ready to be moved out the door.
