K, For the most part since the surgery I've had no problems except some itching and dryness around the nipple.. but yesterday I woke up and my nitey had a yellow stain about the size of a 50cent piece and of course I thought nothing of it, maybe I spilled something but then today I felt a little pressure and it was more tender than usual and I am wearing a teeshirt and there are more little yellow stains, I am SOOO TRYING NOT TO FREAK OUT! I know I didn't spill anything and come to think of it, how could I last night in my sleep!!?? It's coming from the incision but it doesnt smell like an infection, but it does have a strange odor.. UGH PLEASE SOMEONE BE ON TONIGHT?? It's almost 9 my time and my doctor I'm sure is home and in bed.. Hopefully one of you is up!

Hi, hun, it is probably just a little lymph fluid seeping through the incision. As long as you are not running a temperature and the incision area is not hot, red or inflamed looking, it is probably all right. Especially if there is no sign of bleeding. I would cover the incision with some clean gauze pads for tonight and call your doctor in the morning. My incision popped open at one end when the surgeon took the stitches out. Guess it was a few days too early. I tucked a sanitary pad in my bra for a few days. tongue It worked. Hope I gave you some reassurances. Lauri

hi thanks, that makes sense but why would it be yellow, almost neon color? no blood, no fever~ well chills but that could be from anything.. and its kinda pinkish around the spot but its not feverish near the incision... I just know they are wanna go pick on me again and I am being a baby about it....

I ended up callin the doctor on call tonight, he told me to go in tommorrow morning to my surgern..from what it sounds like is fluid is building up in the hole from the lump they removed (it was pretty big actually bigger than I thought) and they'll prolly take a needle to it to withdraw it out.. he's assuming because of my age that it still could be from the milk ducts or something like that I dont know, but he said nothing to do until tommorrow..
Ugh..
He's expecting it might drain though again in my sleep, from I guess the way I lay and to wear gauge over it like you said :-)

Nothing I can say except to let you know I hope all is well. Please let us know how you make out at the drs. Hugs, Joyce

Let us know. Try to stay calm. I had a yellow seeping from my incision through the drain tubes. The doctor told me it was normal. Thinking about you.

Yes, It sounds like a normal type discharge from an incision. Why don't they tell us these things are possible, so we don't scare ourselves to death? Waiting for you to come back from drs and check in. Hugs MK
