When I was having chemo today, the staff at my oncologist's office started discussing a Medicare change that they had just received regarding Herceptin. Evidently, Herceptin can no longer be given on a 1x every 3 wk regiment. It will only be covered on a weekly regiment. The staff said that the private insurance companies usually follow the changes that Medicare makes. They also said that there are many more coming.
Has anyone else heard about this?

Sorry I can't help with this one. I think we have some women on Herceptin so possibly they can. Hugs MK

Well, my dear friend, I am glad that you are up on Medicare changes. It's just like the government to pay for more services instead of paying once every three weeks. I just don't think there's anyone on their decision making board fighting b/c.

Glad to see you here.

Hugs, Jo-Ann
A good friend will bail you out of jail...
but a true friend will be sitting
next to you saying,
"Dâmn... that was fun!".
