Hi Shells, about those calories....

I recall a booklet from ACS that includes recipes designed to pack on calories and protein. I think a lot of them had nuts and peanut butter, which is a yummy way to add both.  You may want to contact them, the book had to do with diet and nutrition, but I do not recall the name of it.  I do remember reading it though and the recipes looked good.
You may also consider making milk shakes with the Ensure or Boost, adding ice cream and chocolate syrup will help hide the tatste, will giving you a wallop of calories. Of course, cheese is good too. And chocolate cake...

I'm so sorry you're uncomfortable.  weight loss is so disturbing, everyone looks at you and thinks they're losing you.  Keep up that feistness and they'll remember just who they're dealing with!!!!!

Shells, I cant drink the boost or ensure either. When I got out of the hospital, I drank Carnation Instant Breakfast and added a scoop of ice cream. At least you will get your vitamins that way.

{{Shells}}} I don't mean to make light of your situation but just hang with me, I don't have any problem with gaining weight! YIKES! Seriously, take it easy and any time you want to share a Big Mac, just give me a call and I would love to have dinner with you. Good to see you posting and I hope you have a quick recovery and those scales start climbing up too.

Well, it is just too bad we don't live closer. I love to cook and eat. I wish I could make you whatever sounds good. I am sure your mom and mother in law are willing to do that, too. Is it the appetite that is lacking? Gosh I wish I could give you mine. I love comfort foods which are usually loaded with calories. Hugs and prayers you find the solution. MK

 I was going to suggest the Carnation Instant Breakfast also, but don't do the sugar free.  Also Smoothies and Yogart.  And I am talking the good containers of fruit on the bottem Dannon yogart.  Quite a few calories in those and they are easy on the stomach.  Also per Tom Hanks,,, Starbuck coffee drinks.  He stated that he was drinking four or five a day and didn't realize how high in calories they were.  What a Dumbbutt.  Couldn't understand why he gained like 20 pounds.
