OK ladies, I need some definitions to some things I've been reading.  I've been on other forums before this so I already knew DH, DD, DS and such.  But what is PCE?  And I have an idea, but what are the pink feather boa's for?

If there is a string that explains some of the "inside" lingo could someone direct me to it?

I want to be able to fully understand and appreciate all that goes on here.

Thanks,

Mia

You are part of the club, so you can get the definitions. :)

When someone is in need of extra support or hand holding or hugs or whatever, usually in conjunction with a procedure or test, we have an imaginary airline called the Pink Cloud Express. Joyce is the pilot and captain. She fires it up and we all hop aboard, wearing our pink feather boas (imagine the site of the boas floating behind us!)..sometimes we wear other pink things, like long johns when it is cold.

It is our special way to let our sisters know that we will be there with them when they are in need, and the PCE is just our method of transportation. Makes perfect sense, right?

LOL Lori gave you a great description. Just a bit of our fun to share our love and caring of one another. So next time you see a pink boa you might want to buy one. They are very inexpensive and can be found in places like Joanne Fabric, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. Maybe even Walmarts? Chuckling, MK

I love it!!!!  Thank you so much for clueing me in.

Now I've just got to run out and get a pink boa!  And with this weather we've been having I guess some pink snow boots to keep my always cold feet warm would help too.

Let me know next time the PCE is heading out.  I'll be there too!!!

Thanks and hugs,

Mia

Mia, you got it! I also suggested the pink Ugg boots to go with the pink longjohns and boas...sometimes we wear a bit of other color, like chartreuse or purple! Just let us know when you are in need, maybe you are nervous about a doctor's visit or a surgery, or first chemo, or whatever....we can fire it up on very little notice, and amazingly it takes no time to get there...we can even be in 2 states at once!

NancyJo, that is great! I would like to get back to Vegas, I only had one opportunity to go 2 years ago. Remind us on the 14th too, so we can be sure to have the pink boas ready. I am looking to ditch the pink long johns though, this Michigan winter has been the pits. I am eager to move to more spring-like gear, perhaps a snazzy pink leather jacket!

Lori

Welcome aboard: Yes my silly imagination got loose one day when some one was having a procedure and did not want to be alone. Because she was just to far for any of us to make it...I turned my imagination loose and we started with a pink bus. This worked for a while and we all brought our instruments and hit the hospital with pink boas and of course MK has her tiera, and we have our musical instruments. (Story for another day)..Can you see us marching into the hospital with the drum and all the other instruments banging and clanging. No matter the test, if you think of us coming through the door in this impressive state it would send anyone into giggles. Then we had a real problem even my imagination could not get our bus to fly. One of the ladies was across the pond and one was here and both needed us on the same day. This was the day PCE was brought into being. Now we have a plane and pink boas and one day the PCE was needed in three places and it snowed. Someone added pink longjohns. I almost fear to think whats next. But if you stop and think about it. All of us landing at an airport in a pink plane and climbing out in pink long johns and pink boas and MK and her pink tiara. That has got to make you smile. The day I decided being the idiot that I am was the right thing to be was when we were told she could actually feel us there. Some days it pays to be nuts. I am sure as time goes on we will have more additions to our wardrobe. If we make one person feel like they are not alone and make them smile... All of us would gladly be called nuts. So welcome aboard. Tee hee Captain Lemonz Now I ask you how nuts do you have to be to fly with a lemon?

Mia,

See what I mean about what wonderful ladies we are here?

I am so tired of this weather we are having. When we see the sun again, I am sure our moods will be lifted!

Stay warm! I need to get a pink boa too......I think that I will make one with pink yarn and Fun Fur. I have crocheted several scarves this winter and used the Fun Fur. I am sure that doing a boa with it would work wonderfully.

Hugs,
Deb

PS. Congrats to the Red Riders for winning their basketball game this evening at Canton Timken. Now, let's see if Triway can put on their charm too. (-:

Hi there all fellow travellers!
Special request for PCE on March 15 when I have oncology appt to try to sort out my lingering chemobrain.
Now: we are having a late summer - so dress accordingly! I don't want to have to pick any of you up off the floor because you are wearing snow gear LOL.! Praps you had better make it a LONG trip so you can take in some of the sights of the beautiful country I live in - hot pools at Rotorua, trout fishing at Lake Taupo, a trip on a coal burning steamer on Lake Wakitupu at Queenstown - hope you are getting the idea!

Love & hugs
Kath

I will be on the PCE on the 15th.  Joyce needs to get that schedule going, its going to be busy.  I wear the same clothes in the winter as I do in the summers, just with added sweaters etc.  So my pink boa will be just right for NZ.

Hugs,

Candy

OK I am on for the trip to New Zealand. I have enjoyed seeing the country on TV documentaries, so I second the motion to make our stay a little longer while there. It is good to have you posting Kath. What is the problem with chemobrain? Getting to be a little worse? Jo-Ann is always pleading chemobrain while I have to plead old age. Pretty scary no matter what the reason. Hugs and prayers your visit with doc goes well. See you there. MK

Candy, you are so right! I am just starting to write these things down. Seems you can not have a head cold and hold a simple fact in your head at the same time. I know just from this string we are needed on the 15th in two places. Have to ask Kath how that time thing works so we know which we do first. Nancyjo and Kath are the 15th. I am afraid I have been sick and hope I am not missing anyone else. Geez, going to have to start paying attention to the prayers so we know when we are needed. It really is easy to miss something when its in someone elses thread. Seems I am not up to speed on my chart. Geez, I think I need a co pilot just to tell me where and when I am going and for what. Someone, anyone , please help this stuffed up head pilot get her flights right. You know I hate to leave anyone out that needs us. Thanks, L&H Joyce
