I have a beautiful picture of Julie by my computer. I did not have much of my own personal relationship with her, outside of the village, but I felt so connected to her and so moved by her passing, nothing else has impacted me like that did. I still hear from her mother from time to time. She made teddy bears out of her husband's flannel shirts, to give to the grandkids. She sent me a picture and boy is she one cool lady....easy to see where Julie got her grace from.
Julie and I were diagnosed around the same time, within a couple days of each other. Her battle was so short but fierce, I still shake my head and wonder why her and why me.
Isn't it that Simon & Garfunkel song where they sing "..there by the grace of G-d, Go I"....
