Hello Ladies,

I am finally home after a scary week-end in the hospital.  I came home to Bob's e-mail and now everything I went through is non-important.  Just know that the PCE arrival helped and I thank all of you that boarded.

I have all of us in my prayers for peace and understanding over the loss of Connie.

Hugs,

Candy

Yes, it is very sad to lose such a wonderful, knowledgable person.  She will be missed very much.

What you've been through this weekend, I'm sorry you were so scared.  I was there with you.  I'm scared too, but the PCE will hopefully help me too.  I'm glad you made it through ok.  Love ya girl.  Love to DH,

Candy, like the others have said, your news and happenings are very important to us too. While news of another loss is always tragic and seems to overshadow everything else, it does not minimize what you are going through. Your experineces are important to you and that means they are important to us. Post when you feel up to it, we're here for you...

But glad to see you are home!

Lori

Hello,

My "last" breast cancer related surgery turned out to be a little more major than first thought, not so much the surgery itself but the after effects of anesthesia.  The final dx'd after 2.5 days in the hospital is mild congestive heart failure vs. pneumonia due to too many fluids being administered during surgery.  I see my internist tomorrow for follow-up.

Yesterday after the 48 hours from surgery when I could shower was my first glance at surgery results.  Yikes!!  I thought DH and I were going to toss our cookies.  The stiching had come undone and this dying piece of skin was black and had a open slit that was seeping blood.  The doctors office just called and told me that on Thursday during my follow-up appt. that I would probably be surprised at what the doc tells me.!!!?????  Not sure what that means.

So ladies, not that bad, but I do not want to "go under" again for a long time if ever.

Still reeling over Connie.  Hugs to us all and as always you are all in my prayers.

Candy

Oh Candy, I'm so sorry to hear your surgery was so rough.  That experience sounds very scary.  And it doesn't help having the doctor's office telling you that you "should be surprised.....

What are they thinking?!  Nobody wants to be "surprised" at a doctor's appointment!  Shame on them for doing that to you!  Did you have to have anymore work done after you and DH found the stitching had come undone?

I'm praying for you to heal quickly and for your loss also.

Hugs,

Mia

OHHHH Candy. I am so sorry this happened to you. I have always been more afraid of anesthetic than surgery. I was in training where doctors were taught and I watched too many learn to give anesthesia. Back in the days they did spinals there was no way I would ever have had one.

OK now what is the deal? Will you continue to have heart problems? Did they cause the congestive heart failure? One of my dogs is going through final stages of CHF and it makes me think I don't want this problem. I hope the looks of the surgery is not meaning there is a problem there. You are diabetic and healing is difficult, right? I will put you at the top of the prayer list right now. Stay well, eat properly and rest......................

Hugs, Mary K.

OH {{{{{Candy}}}} What a horrible experience!! And I agree, who wants "surprises" from a DRs office?! I am so sorry you had such a rough time. I hope all is well with the opening of stitches? You are in my thoughts and prayers sweetie. Anxious to hear more from you! L&H, Gail

Candy so sorry to hear this. I posted to you and lucky I looked here again. Have no idea where my post is. I think I did the old forget to submit thing again. Used to do that all the time. That is an awful experience. I am so sorry you had to deal with all of this. L&H Joyce
