Just wanted to update you on my radiation planning session today and also let you in on my DH's wonderful idea.
The planning session was SO easy! It only took an hour but I have to go back again Thursday for another dry run in the simulator and Friday they have to do something (don't remember what). But the treatments will start next Monday and I'm very excited. Since the surgery Jan. 31 it feels as though nothing has been done. Now I'm sure I will feel as though we are really doing something to battle this horrible disease! We are going to ZAP out any remaining bad cells! YEAH! YIPPEE!
I think it will do a lot for me emotionally to begin the attack.
Well onto the retail therapy. Remember last week DH took me shopping for a new sofa? I really wanted purple but we were worried it wouldn't coordinate with the colors already in the room. Well we found a great patterned fabric that has both of the colors along with some others. So we ordered the purple sofa AND a chair done in the pattern! The sofa will have pillows done in the patterned fabric to tie it together. And when the sales girl told us it would be delivered close to my birthday DH said "it's your birthday present!" I said that's not fair so he instead said it would be an early celebration to the end of my radiation treatments! I like that better!!!!
Isn't he sweet? I couldn't ask for a better spouse to go through this with. He is my blessing each and every day. I know that the timing of all of this was done so that I would have him to lean on during this. We were only married 1 week when I found the lump. So I am grateful to have him.
Now I must apologize for not making the flight on the PCE today. I will be there tomorrow for NancyJo. Remind me tonight!
