My ex husbands mom passed away last night. She was in the hospital and caught pneumonia. She only lived a few hours after they said that. She was only in the hospital for a fall and I know the family was shocked. My ex is one of 5 children. Also his dad is having a hard time. I've invited him to come here for dinners when Steve comes which is often. He is a very sweet man. Thank you, Love, Di

Tell Steve how sorry I am. He was so nice when you were in the hospital and I called him. I know he is probably feeling pretty badly, especially when she got sick in the hospital. Hugs MK

Sorry for your loss, Di. I know your ex has been a big support to you, and sounds like you too are still close. My grandmother died 2 years ago, about 4 months after she broke her hip. We learned that the percentage of women who die within a year following a hip fracture is very large (I forgot how high), as a result of complications. I'm sorry this happened to your family too.

Hugs,
Lori

Dear Di,

I will be holding you and also Steve's family in prayer. What a sad, sad time.

Please know that I care.

Hugs,
Debbie

I am so sorry to hear this. According to what the dr. told me... He said the reason so many pass after they fall is that something is wrong and that is why they fell. I know my MIL made it to 96 and the day she fell even though she did not break anything... she looked up and said this is it. Three weeks later she was gone. It really comes as a shock when you think they are still so healthy. Prayers for you all, and hugs. Joyce

Di,

My prayers are with you and your ex's family.  Losing someone is so much harder when it is sudden.  Your mind can't begin to grasp the idea for a while.

How wonderful that you maintained a close friendship with your ex.  I have 2 ex's and one is a great friend the other a stinker.  It isn't easy to stay friends but it can be done and I'm sure you provide him and his family with much comfort.

Loving hugs to you and all hurting from this loss {{{{{{Di}}}}}}

Hi All,
Thank you all for your sweet thoughts and prayers. I will tell Steve. I remember that he liked talking to you too MK. It was wonderful of you and Jo-Ann to take care of me. I know he likes you all as I have shared many things on the board with him over the years. He knows how much you mean to me. Love and Hugs, Di
