It's amazing that I found someone so close to me in just 2 days of being on here. I just couldn't believe it. But it is true, she is real and she is just as sweet as pie!!! We met today for lunch and she brought me gifts. One of which was my very own bright pink scarf/boa!!! She knit it herself just for me!!!! She also brought lots of pictures of many of you for me to have faces to go with the names. And she also brought me addresses with names, real and screen. How awesome is that?!
We had such a good time that we talked so much our food was cold by the time we ate it. But I didn't care, I could have just had water and felt nourished. She is a bright and shining example of what this site is about. Caring, loving, friends to help you get through a bad time. I have tons of friends but no one that can relate to what I'm going through. My oldest sister is one of my best friends but lately I hardly hear from her. She started a new job shortly after my diagnosis but I think it's mostly because she doesn't know what to say or do for me. This site is a true God-send to all of us going through this. And I know that I found this site and Deb with some divine guidance.
We bored my poor DD though. She was good for about the first half hour then she said "are you don't yet?" about 50 times. Poor thing, I made it up to her by taking her to the library afterward. She took a picture of Deb and I and we tried to take one of the three of us by ourselves but it didn't turn out. As soon as DH can work on it for me we will post it for all to see. I'm a little technologically challenged.
Thanks Deb for making the scarf, being a friend and providing the wonderful gifts today! You are so special, I hope we can make a habit of getting together.
Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.
