Hi ladies,

I have the lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it, and so it would be great to see you all there :-) I'll be staying overnight, so when I get home I'll let you know how it went.

Since the B9 chant is no longer valid, how about some "clean margin" and "clean lymph nodes" chants! I really appreciate all of your support.

Libby, we're coming your way on 4/8. I'm seeing an oncologist (Halibey) on 4/12 and a radiation oncologist (Gallagher) on 4/15, both at the Sparta Cancer Center. <sigh>

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you! We've got sunshine today and it's glorious. I hope you all have some decent weather, too!

I'll be there. My feathers are plumped and I'm ready for action.

Wishing you lots of good luck tomorrow, and sending lots of prayers your way.

Hugs,
Rita

Hi Laure'-
I'm on my way too....hopefully this won't be that bad. I went home after my lumpectomy and SNB, so not saying you need to be a hero, but saying that the procedure is tolerable. I had little to no post-op pain, but what was tough was regaining range of motion with the arm. Please ask your doc or RN about stretching and exercising. No one mentioned it to me, and I think it would have helped me to know that.

For sure, the mantra continues! Back in the old days, we used to chant "negative, negative, negative"....we're rooting for ya!

Thanks for the well wishes! My cutie-pie 7-year-old so is standing here with his arms filled with his stuffed animals and blankies waiting for some snuggle time and talking up a storm! Love it! Gonna run and snuggle. I'll be looking for you all tomorrow! Negative, negative, negative sounds really good to me!!!!!

Laure',

Good luck and hoping for all clean margins tomorrow.  I stayed overnight after my lumpectomy, mainly because I live a ways from the hospital and I wasn't out of recovery until nearly 7pm.  Do what you need to do - don't let them push you out the door too soon.

Snuggle time with littles ones is so rewarding.  I can't wait to snuggle my new grandbaby when he arrives sometime this month.  Just hope he likes to snuggle too.

God Bless and will be joining the PCE to be there with you tomorrow.

Hugs and love,
Mia

Thanks everyone. Mia, it's nice to see they could accomodate you so quickly! I'm glad your there. We're practically at the same phase of our treatment, give or take a few weeks. I'll see you at the hospital ;-).

Safe ride everyone! I'm off now for the 45 minute drive in. Hoping to come home tonite to my own warm bed, but I have a room "reserved" in case I want to stay at the Hospital.

I'll tell you how much fun it was sometime tomorrow!

Let's see you could be just about ready to go into surgery right now or at least doing the preop stuff. We are headed into the hospital. Hope they don't get upset with all the noise and fluttering of feathers. Prayers that you get good news and all goes really great. MK

I hope the margins are clear and the nodes are clean, Laure'. By now it is all done, so we will be waiting for an update tomorrow or Friday. Rest and mend. Hugs, Lauri
