I've been bleeding way too long now.  I called the doc back today when it started up again, and hightailed it down to Westchester.  They did a sonogram, and I have some clotting but nothing "flowing" whatever that means.  He gave me some medicine to stop the bleeding and something for the pain and told me not to drive or work for the rest of the week.  I'm hurting now, It's been achy all day.

He wasn't worried, the sonogram didn't show much, except I have that adenomyosis they were wondering if I had.  It's causing a lot of discomfort.  I think the tamoxifen and the lupron are doing a number on my uterus.  I'll be happy to have it out, I think.  I was going to wait until the summer.  We'll see how uncomfortable I get.  I wanted to take three weeks off and heal in the sun, you know?  If I do it sooner, I'd probably garden myself into reinjury,  I need a straightjacket!!!!!!!!!

Ellen,

I'm sorry to hear you are having such a hard time healing.  Hopefully the medicine they gave you will do the trick quickly for you and allow you to return to your "normal" life.  Maybe then the pain will settle down too.

I know what you mean about gardening.  We've had two straight days of fabulous weather and I've been outside as much as I possibly could; picked up sticks, pulled weeds, cleaned flower beds.  Now tonight I'm not feeling so hot.  Shoulda known, but needed the solar therapy WAY too much to think about it.

Gentle loving hugs ((((((Ellen)))))),

Hope you gardeners are remembering your sun block! You do not want to graduate to a second cancer! Listen to me being mother hen. Geez guess I better get back on the plane.

Ellen-
I hope your feeling better soon. Let's hope these new meds help, and you'll be home during the summer. It really is hard to stay out of the garden in the spring. I don't know about anyone else, but it's the first thing I think of when the weather breaks.
If you have to be home sooner- why not enlist a friend to help garden while you watch? That way you can help some, and not overdo it. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your week off.

Darn it, Ellen!

I just wish this would all go away for you. Dang! Three weeks in the sun sounds wonderful! I could do something like that, myself. Hang in there, sweetie.

Love,
Rita

I'm sorry you are still having problems. Hopefully things will go better soon. For some reason March has not been the greatest month. April comes tomorrow and let's pray it will be better. Hugs, MK

Ellen, can you please try to rest for the rest of the week?? It's way to early to garden in your area of NY. Get better first and then go out and get your hands dirty. L&H's, Luci
