I am on weekly chemo so every 4 weeks I see my onco and get the whole battery of blood tests from A-Z. She is very thorough. Then she will send a postcard with the results and any little thoughts she has to tell me. I didn't receive a card for last week so I called my chemo nurse today. The CEA and has gone up 1 pt. The CA 27/29 has also gone up a point. So, I guess that I will find out tomorrow, when I go for my chemo, if we are going to increase the navelbine (which I take in conjunction with Herceptin) or if she is even concerned about the small jump in numbers. I may be worrying over nothing but I don't like to see even that small of a jump.

Hi Deb, I have been doing the Navelbine for over a year now and my CA 27-27 #s fluctuate between 28 and 45. They are considered stable. Any type of infection in your body may make the numbers jump. I know how you feel about the numbers going up. I get very upset when that happens.

I agree Deb, one point is not so bad, altho it would be easier to take going down, I understand. I hope you hear good news from the doctor about the Navelbine. Big hugs, MK
