If I remember correctly, she was an only child, who's mother was recently moved to a nursing home. I hope that someoe is looking out for her too.

Rest peacefully, sweet Becky. We miss you already.

Yes her mother did recently go to a nursing home. Her sister in law was very special to her. She came and helped her all the time. I am assuming she is her husband's sister. She came with her to Louisville meeting and we got to meet her. Hugs MK

Thank you Sara. I came here this morning to give you all the details. But Sara has handled that beautifuly. Yes, Becky's Mom has alzheimers. Mike feels it would serve no purpose to tell her. She would be upset and then forget. Our concern is that she may remember later when she doesn't have family around. He will continue taking care of her. He told me that when his Mom passed away 12 year ago that Elouise became his Mom too.

Many of you knew that Mike has been off work for the last 6 months to be with Becky. He said it was the best thing he has ever done. He is taking the rest of the summer off to be with the kids. They are planning beach trips, Disney World and fishing at his Dad's lake house. Mike is a GREAT DAD !!!
Love & Hugs,
Angela
Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.

Thanks, Angela. I thought it was Alzheimer's that her mother had, but was not sure. Thank goodness she will be spared the pain of knowing her daughter is gone. And thank goodness for Mike, who will make a great guardian-like person for his "Mom".

And I am also glad that Mike made the decisions he made and can feel proud of himself. The kids too will appreciate it when they are old enough to understand how important they are to him.

Thank you, too, Angela for filling in the details to some questions. I remember Mike took time off and thought at the time that he probably did because Becky had limited time. What a wonderful husband and father he is! I wish we had had a chance to meet him in Louisville. He is especially dear for taking care of her mother, too. God bless him. MK
