I went to a "DAY OF PAMPERING" that was hostessed by the store where I buy my prothesis's and bras.  Had a wonderful time meeting new people that have a history of breast cancer too.  I told some of the ladies that sat at my table about this site.  I hope they check us out and see just what a nice place this is.  There were all kinds of business's there giving manacures, yoga lessons and giving away all kinds of "freebees".......even a bathing suit style show! Total count of those attending  was well over 100. They served us a most delicious lunch also.

Having had breast cancer has been positive in  some ways, like meeting all of the lovely ladies there and especially here on this forum.

Hope everyone here has had a nice day too.

L & H,
Debbie

Oh Debbie I'm so happy for you having a day of pampering!!  You deserve it!  What a nice thing for the store to do, they sound like a great place to do business with.  Where are they located?  Maybe some of us could use their services.

Tori is doing much better now.  Hives are gone and her energy is back to normal (off the scale).  I came down with a bad cold last night and have been miserable or making those around me miserable all day.  No joke, that's how I am when I have a cold.  I try to stop it but I am really a crab.  But Tori and I did manage to get out to Jo-Ann to get stuff for her first sewing project.  She's so excited (that she went to spend the night with a friend, guess it was to get away from the crabby mommy! he he) we are making a cool pillow for her room.  This will be the first use of my new machine DH got me for my birthday!

Hope others had a better day than mine.  And glad to hear about your day Debbie.  You are a sweetie and it's nice to have someone taking care of you the way I think you should be taken care of.

Hugs,

Mia

Thanks Mia,

It really WAS a nice day, maybe next year you can join me. The name of the store is Elegant Essentials and they are in Medina, right on RT 18. I will send their website to your email address.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{MIA}}}}}}}}}}}}, so sorry that you had to get a nasty cold. Just what you DON'T need right now. Maybe today will be a better day for you, I see that we have some nice sun shining outside. AHHHHHHHHHH.

Glad that Tory is feeling better and those darn hives have left her.

Hugs,
Deb

Debbie,

Can you tell me anything about how the mastectomy (1 or 2) went? I'm scheduled for a bilateral on Friday, and would like to know how the recovery might be. I've already had a partial with SNB, and I'll be doing the SNB on the other side this time with the bilat. I chose outpatient surgery - I hate staying at hospitals with the IV still attached for so long. Anyway, if you've got a few minutes I'd love to hear about your experience. Thanks, and I'm glad you had a great pampering day!!!!

L&H,
