Hello Heidi! I am sorry that you have had to post on our board but you have come to the right place to receive lots of support. You have found a wonderful group of women who have been through it all. We are here to hold your hand and comfort your fears in the days and weeks ahead. Wow, you have really been thru the mill with health problems. I do want you to realize that 80% of breast lumps are NOT cancer. And the fact that you have always done your BSE is a plus also. Waiting is the hardest part. As you know, your mind goes in a thousand different directions and imagines every worst possible thing imaginable. I am certain that your stress level is extremely high right now. Please try and relax. Let us know what you find out on Thurs.

Hugs and Prayers..Deb

Hi Heidi, I know you feel a frightened right now, but good for you in getting right in to get his lump checked out. I had a fluid-filled cyst many years before I had a cancerous lump in my breast. So, you just never know until you have a biopsy. That is what you should push for. It is the only way to know for sure just what this is. Know that you are among friends here who will be by your side holding your hand no matter what is ahead. You and I have some commom medical problems: I also take synthroid (generic) for low thyroid, lipitor for cholesterol and HCTZ to get my blood pressure down a bit. I survived five years on tamoxifen after being dxed with bc. There is life after tamoxifen. Please keep us posted on what you find out. The gals here really care. Feel free to check us out in the roll call post at the top of the board, and feel free to add yourself to the list. Hopeful hugs, Lauri

Hi Heidi. I think you not only share some problems with Lauri, but some of the others of us, too. It seems when things go astray they just keep heading there. Let's hope the lump is a minor problem amidst all the others. You will most likely have to have the lump removed to be sure what it is. Don't let doctor's play guessing games with you, a simple biopsy is not a big deal and sometimes will prove to be all you should need. Please do keep us informed as to what is going on and what the dr says. Hugs, Mary K.. MK for short
