We now have another angel in heaven.  8 years ago, I met Gwen, she was 61 at the time and had just been diagnosed with bc.  She was very impressed with my curls (chemo curls) and was waiting to begin chemo.  She told her doc that she wanted to look just like me when she was finished. HA  Unfortunately, she began to feel bad a few months ago.  They kept doing tests and couldn't find an answer.  She was taken to ER this past week and was diagnosed with leukemia the night before she died.  Say a prayer for her DH and family as they have lost a very sweet wife, mother and grandmother!

Teresa: I am so sorry to hear about the death of your friend. It is such a difficult thing to accept. 3 yrs ago one of my dearest and best friends died from cancer. She was 46, single mother. She had always had back pain from a previous injury and that is where they finally diagnosed the cancer. We always took "road trips" together (3 of us) so our last road trip was for her chemo. I will pray for your friends family but also that you will be able to know that you have a special angel watching over you.

Sorry you have lost a friend to cancer. I have lost friends and a special aunt to cancer, as well as the breast friends we have lost here in our group. It is never easy. I wish the research would come up with a real cause instead of all these seemingly silly studies showing exercise or lack of and different diet pluses and minuses. I'm sure all contribute to cancer somewhat but I think there is a much more concrete environmental problem that needs to be found and proven. I could get on the soapbox again, but I guess the best thing to do is say I am sure your friend is watching over you from a different angle now, as an angel. Hugs MK

Teresa- I am so sorry to hear about your friend... she joins the many angels in heaven who are watching over us and wishing us peace as we remember the good times with them, and not the pain.
