I heard this on a morning talk show while having my morning coffee. I almost choked I was laughing so hard. These are both true.
#1....A man and his wife had a party. Most of the people were friends of the wife. The man wanted the guests to go home but no one would leave. They basically ignored him. So what does he do? He sets his house on fire! The house is a total loss plus everything in it. The homeowners insurance won't cover the fire damage. And, the man was arrested for arson and one other charge! Now, How stupid is that?
#2....A gal is arrested for passing bad checks. She had a rap sheet going back over 10 years for this and other crimes. She was allowed to post bond. ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? She paid the bondsman with a BAD CHECK! Bond revoked! Gal in jail!! Now, she claims that she wasn't the one that was writing the bad checks and that it never was her. It was/is her "EVIL TWIN". Police stated that there is no record of her having a good twin, much less an evil twin!
Have a great day! .... Deb

How wonderful it would be to see Angels where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see clouds where there are Angels.

OK Here are two I just learned on the news this morning. One in the newspaper and the other on TV.

In NC surgical instruments were washed in hydraulic oil. I haven't read this whole article yet. My husband called it to my attention. Considering I got contaminated sutures due to mistakes I am seeing red on this one.

On TV I learned they are going to give children Viagra to relax their blood vessels.

Now I will go read the paper and see what else I can learn today. Makes you want to go curl up in a corner and shut out the craziness of the world sometimes.

Hugs, MK

PS update on the hydraulic oil and instruments.  Two Duke University related Hospitals were involved.  The elevators were repaird and the hyrdraulic oil that was removed was put in empty cleaning formula drums.  Evidently the drums were taken to be used to clean the instruments.  Mistakes are made all the time, but wouldn't you think someone cleaning instruments would realize something was crazy when it was oily and not soapy?  How about the smell?  The cleaning agents always have a smell and oil has a distinct smell.  How could this happen?

Thanks for the "enlightenment." LOL Just goes to show, truth really is stranger than fiction. I needed a good laugh today. Thanks to you both.
