Are there any drugs, prescription or over the counter that have an interaction with Tamoxifen?  I'm wondering because I was thinking of finding a diet aid to lose the extra weight I've already piled on and to help avoid any more that may come from the tam.  I was reading about all the positives of green tea and found a diet supplement called Lean System 7 Triple Action Formula.  What have your experiences been as to the Onc. and taking vitamins or herbals or any diet pills?

A great website to check for drug interactions between prescription medications, over the counter medications, supplements and food is on Caremark.com. Enter in what you are taking and it will print out a report for you.

That looks like a very informative site.  I'm not a blue cross member though and it looks like you need a BCBS prescription card to register.  But thanks for answering Stella!

Anyone have any first hand knowledge about drug interactions with Tamoxifen?

I took Tamoxifen for 5 years and had no problems with drug interactions.  You can search on the web for sites that show drug interactions that you don't have to be a member of.  I'm on Femara now but I finally went to a diet doctor to find out what I could take.  She gave me a prescription and then I checked the web also for drug interactions, told my onc.  I take Adipex - took Bontril first.  I've had no problems.  Good Luck.  Onc said to be careful before taking anything off the counter because some of the natural ingredients work like hormones and I was estrogen positive.  So you have to be careful.
