Well, 'relaxing by the pool' needs a tweeking or two.  I was there for the day today, well, sort of.  I learned to play canasta, fun!!!, then put my towell down to claim my chair.  Then I ran home to get the stuff I had forgotten (most importantly, Matthew's swimmies)  I hung out and talked for a couple of hours when I returned, and then picked up Matthew and came back to the pool with him.  Well, the van wouldn't shut off, even when I took the key out!!  I had known this could happen, electrical glitch DH had been managing with instead of getting it fixed.  The "trick" was beyond my expertise, let's put it that way.  Had to drive around five miles for it to reset itself and let me turn off the engine.  He just HAD to take the mustang today!!!
Oh, well, the point was that I didn't stay in my lounge.  I got up too many times and the things are so low that I was straining myself.  I"m hurting now.  When I go back, I'll just have to set up in the shade and stay put!!!  I can't swim yet, so I need to dip my feet.  If I do it on the steps, wouldn't that be wise??  rather than have to be in the middle of the action (the chatting) and crouch and sit which I shouldn't be doing.
I never learn.

Ellen, Ellen, Ellen, We know you can learn or we would be wondering what that PhD is all about, but we do tend to ignore our own needs, now don't we??? STOP it girl and take care of yourself, you have had plenty to deal with the last few years, now start enjoying the good stuff that you run into each day.

I think about you often and I am glad you are able to at least try to lounge.

Ellen behave yourself.................REST. I am wondering, too, about you sitting out in the sun. So many of my meds say to stay out of the sun that I would never sit by a poolside for any length of time. I could picture you driving around in the van muttering for it to reset and turn off. LOL. Never a dull moment at your place, is it? Hugs MK

Tsk, tsk, tsk Ellen. We need to reset YOU, girl! Maybe in concrete for a few days. LOL Take care of yourself. MK brought up a good point about the meds. Make sure they're "sun safe." And rest, for heaven's sake.
