Of course, now I won't be able to retire til I'm about 100!!!  Found it by accident, hubby put in an offer, and we're pre-approved for our loan.  Bank says we could close as early as Friday!

Wow!  I don't ever remember things going this well when we were living with little ones in a hotel somewhere, everything we owned in storage, and we just couldn't wait to get into a home!

That's life for you.

Love and hugs...

It certainly sounds like one of those "love at first sight, meant to be" deals to me. Tell us more about it. I am so happy for you. Hugs MK

Okay...it's a doll house compared to what we're in now, but just what we wanted.  Ranch style, but built in 1940, so it's got lots of interesting little nooks and crannies, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and everything that's been done to it has been done well (unlike the house we have now, where I had to go back and undo everything they had done to the place).  Has a jacuzzi in the master bath for the bad backs we have, a skylight in the office, and a finished room in the basement that is big enough for the pool table (one of those "guy" necessities).

The best part is, it sits in the middle of 5 acres of woods (Jo-Ann, I don't think a rototiller would do me much good, but I'm gonna have to get a bigger chain saw....vroom, vroom!) with a little "crick" along the back property line and a side area down from the house that has been cleared just enough for a nice swing set/climber/slide for Brianna.

I could use a push mower and be done with the yard in two minutes...and with 5 acres, I'm hoping those darned dogs of mine will find someplace besides the one grassy knoll to drop their fertilizer.

So...no more nosy Roberta peeping out her window to see what "those people across the street" are doing for me!

Just keep your fingers crossed for me that all goes well with the appraisal, inspection, loan papers, etc...

Love and hugs...

Bev it sounds wonderful. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that all goes well. The dogs and Brianna will be so happy there, as well as you and hubby. It sounds cool with all the trees, too and the crick. LOL. Love and hugs all goes well, MK

Bev,
How exciting! Its funny how things just fall into place when they are meant too. The two of you will surely keep in shape on those five acres during your golden yrs. Best of luck to you.

How far south? As I remember, they had plenty of cricks down there back when WE were southerners. That's been a few years, though! LOL Anyway, this isn't big enough to be a full-fledged CREEK. It's just a lil ole crick in the holler out back. Of course, I'm not an expert on cricks or creeks. We just played in the storm sewers when I was a kid!

Love and hugs...
