For those who asked, Tavish approves of the union and is happy. Leigh asked his permission to marry me. No really, he did not. But the two of them have gotten along well lately, and Tavish seems excited to see him. If I leave Tav at Leigh's house when I am gone, he hides under the bed a lot....the dog, not Leigh! He gets concerned when I am not there, but the reunions are just so fun! yeah

Leigh loves that little dog. When we came home from the concert, he told Tavish that "we were a new family now". It was pretty cute.

Thanks so much everyone for the well-wishes and the encouragement, it means so much to me.

Lori

Lori -

Wishing you all of the happiness in the world! This is so cool! I am sooo happy for you and Leigh and Tavish - but mostly for you cuz you deserve to be happy! So, my question isn't when, but where???

Love & hugs,

Cathy, thanks! It will be here in Michigan, no way can I plan something in Houston. We have small families and most would be traveling either way, so it will be so much easier here.

I always wondered what your screen name was for. What type of dog is Tavish? I have 2 miniature schnazers and they are the love of my life, they know mom is sick and don't let me out of their sight. Im so happy for you! Have fun planning the wedding and just enjoy!

Hugs :)

Bern, you are right, Tavish is my dog. I post under his name to be incognito. LOL.
He is 1/2 Westie and 1/2 poodle, and has a snippy temperament. But he loves me and is so protective of me, he is my baby, no doubt! He is so sweet and cuddly and funny that I can't stand it sometimes. He is so good at night when I am sleeping and lets me sleep in, and he is adaptable to my routine. Cute as can be too. DId I mention that I love my baby?

Westies are from Scotland, so I went with a Scottish name for him.

I know what you mean about him being your baby. My two are the replacement for my grown kids. Their names are Bailey and Baxter. Bailey is a year and a half and Baxter will be 6 months tomarrow. Bailey is a pure black schnauzer and Baxter is a black and silver schnauzer. They are the most lovable dogs (except Tavish) they are smart and very loyal. I have always disliked dogs until now. My kids keep telling me I will look like one of those old women with her dogs!!! I get a kick out of it Im not that old yet, 45. Im glad all is going well for you.

Hugs :)

Bernadette...my screenname is for my three "boys." They are the replacements for my grown kids as well, and the dear little cocker I lost a few year back, who was the love of my life.

I will probably be known someday as that "crazy dog lady." Besides my grandbaby, my dogs are the lights of my life.

Always happy to meet a fellow doglover!

Love and hugs...'

PS for Glenda...I forgive you for Caesar. Dogs, like people, have to learn to be careful what you ask for, 'cause you just might get it!

Thanks for the letter, yes I do love my babies. They have been a big help through all of this always there to give me a kiss. Yes some day I too will be known as the "dog lady"

Hugs :)
