Monday, I start a new job, doing temp work for Kaiser.  My last day at my old job was Friday.  This decision was made quite quickly, but I don't regret it.  I will be making quite a bit more per hour and have weekends off to spend with DH.  It has been over 9 months of having Tues/Wed off for treatments.  That got old very quickly once treatments were done.  This temp job is for about 2 months.  It came at the right time, because I need flexibility for school.  Plus, it gives me the opportunity to work in the medical field to see how it is.  This is an office job, but still, it will be a great learning experience, I'm sure.  So far, things seem to be falling into place.  I'm excited and a little scared at the same time.  My medical terminology class is going well.  The second test, I got a 99.  I was so mad, because the 1 point off was for a stupid spelling error!  I am the spelling bee queen!!!!!  How could that happen?  Oh well, 99 is great.
I got a referral to a plastic surgeon to start the process of reconstruction, but I'm in no hurry.  I haven't made an appointment yet, but will soon.  I'll keep you posted.

Good luck with the new job, Kathy. I hope it goes will and is just what you are looking for. Hugs, Lauri

Just like Lauri, I wish you well on this new endeavor. I must tell you though, I couldn't work in the medical field. I am the original "chicken of the sea" when it comes to medical procedures. My hat is off to anyone (i.e. you) who can do it.

Hugs, Jo-Ann
