I HATE DRS.!!!! Just came back from my gyn. office for my 4 month check from the surgery I had to fix the tram flap and the surgery to remove my ovaries. I am still not healing. I am miserable and just need to vent besides venting to my husband. SORRY!

Vickie:

It is OK to vent here.  In fact it is one of the best places to vent.  I am sorry you are not healing.  What did the docs say you need to do?  Or why it isn't healing?  Hang in there.  I know there are times I really do not like my docs either.  I sometimes get so tired of it all.  But, you will heal.  Try to be patient.

Just keep posting to us because someone will be able to really relate to this circumstance and be able to help you.  Think positive thoughts and try not to stress out to much.  Negative stuff really retards the healing, but it is OK to be angry and worried.  Take time to vent and then get to the healing stuff.

Love and hugs,

Candy

Have you been tested for diabetes? That is a very common cause of healing problems.

I know you don't want to hear this, but perhaps you are running and going too much and need to slow down and rest. Rest and good food help healing. I don't think there is a medicine anywhere that will help the healing process. Jo-Ann is correct about diabetes being a reason for not healing, but from what you described to me you don't sound like a candidate for it unless your family has a history. Has your doctor run a complete blood protein on you? Low blood protein can cause healing problems, too. That was the reason I did not have scheduled surgery once, the surgeons explained that I would not heal because my blood protein was too low.

Scream and vent all you want, but please rest and eat some really good full of vitamin foods. Can you do liver? Dark green veggies. Fish and cheese. When do you go back to see the doctor?

Hi everyone. I just slept about 12 hours after yesterday. My doctor is saying the reason I am not healing is because the fluid from the swelling in the adbomen isn't being absorbed normally thru the lymph system because of all the abdomen surgery that was done. I go back in two weeks and if the swelling is still bad she will consider opening the abdomen up and putting a temporary drain back in. She is also running complete blood test on me to check my thyroid, hormones ect. Thank you for letting me vent, I just was very disappointed yesterday with the news. I am still in slow motion at home and th only time I get out is for my sons football games. I already missed a year of them playing three years ago and I wont miss another year. They are growing up to fast and will be on there way to college soon. They keep me going. Their great kids and so is there father. He has the patience of a saint. (Well at least most of the time.)
Thank you all again and I will keep you posted.
Hugs to all!!\

I'm glad you vented.  I really relied on this site for everything, even with my hysterectomy.  I tried hystersisters, but there were so many posting women that you got immediately lost.  This is a site where I had friends who had been through so much with me.  Go ahead, we can take it!
