Gosh, I think about you all at least 10 times a day. Things have been so hectic. DH and I finally got to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Sept., even though it actually was last Feb. 1. We went to Hawaii, BEEautiful!
We had a big water disaster in our house, so that took up quite a bit of time. We're in the repair stage. Can you believe it? Only the Lewisohns could have water problems in the desert. But, it's manageable, insurance covers it and the builder has been very cooperative. It's fixable, doesn't involve the loss of life so how awful can it be, right????
We're in the middle of the Jewish High Holydays, Rosh Hashanah last week, Yom Kippur begins this Wednesday, so once again I'm cooking, baking and having the family over for meals.
Going to NY in Nov. for scans and a visit with my onc. I am NEVER giving him up. On the last Thurs. in September I went to a brunch. The guest speaker was from the Komen affiliate here in LV. Sit down, my friends, because you're not going to believe what I'm going to tell you:
1. Nevada has the 4th highest death rate from BC in the nation.
2. Nevada (read that as LV) is 7 to 10 years behind the rest of the US in dx and tx protocols for BC.
So that means since I was dx'd 7 yrs ago in NY, whatever procedures I had THEN are now just arriving in LV. Scary, huh???
And that is why I'm never giving up my NY onc.
I know I don't post as much as I should, but you all are always in my thoughts. Sending you all hugs from here, Luci
