at the mall. She looked great and also remembered me. I have not seen her since June 27th, my last chemo treatment. She was diagnosed at stage IV and is currently on herceptin and navelobene (SP?) and looks great. There was a time in March and April when I did not think she was going to be with us for much longer, but today she had gained weight and really looked grand. What a great attitude, too, since she will be on treatment the rest of her life. She really gives me hope.
Seems like we are having a "rash" of mammo's now. Mine is on Oct 27th. I do worry a little.

I am glad you found your friend doing so well. Many times people cross paths with us and we never see them again and wonder how they are doing. Seems like those who fight the hardest battle have the greatest attitude! They have a special inner strength I guess. I hope she has many more years of a good quality life. You take care, too. We always worry about that mammogram no matter how many years go by. I am nearly nine years from my diagnosis and still hate for squeeze time to come. Hugs MK
