During the Breastcancer.org Ask-the-Expert Online Conference last week, they talked about supplementing your diet during and after breast cancer. Some surprising information was included that really opened my eyes. For instance, I try to eat healthy, high-fiber breads yet the discussion talks about how many of these breads are fortified with soy products. There is lots of controversy surrounding soy and breast cancer, but my tumor was highly estrogen positive, so I try to stay away from soy. I went to my bread shelf and 3 out of 4 of my breads were filled with many of the soy fillers. Sort of made me cringe!

Anyway, since we had a recent topic about supplements here, I thought I'd give you all this link, even though many of you probably already get these notices.

Take care!

You are so right that women who have E+P+ b/c should not have soy. One thing that I did, thanks to MK, was to start making my own bread. That way, I know exactly what is in it. MK provided the bread maker. She's been making her own ever since I met her and she's an ace at it. You ought to see her rolls. (The dinner ones, MK. LOL)

Also, during chemo, my onc said to do whatever else I wanted to but I had to tell her. There is a strict limit on the amount of folic acid you can have because it will interfer with the chemo I had.

Something new every day.
