Hi All! I apologize for not posting lately but I have been packing and moving. Finally got about 90% moved last Thursday. I hope that this is the last one!!!!

I went for chemo on Wed. Missed the week before as I didn't want to be tired when I moved on Thurs. Anyway, my RBC had dropped 10 pts. It is down to 2.4. The nurse freaked out. My onco wasn't there but the "dr. of the day" said not to worry about it. It could just be a lab error and I would be in next week and it could all be rechecked. That made me feel better. I promised to slow down and to eat lots of red meat. Well, about 15 mins ago the nurse calls and says that my onco wanted me to come in immediately for blood work and some other tests that I would mail back to them. I asked if I could have the blood work done at our local hospital and reminded her that I would be seeing my onco on Tues. She decided that I could wait until then but said that Dr. Mary is concerned about a GI bleed. Nothing unusual other than being extremely tired. Now she has me scared to death. I have never had problems w/ my counts. I evidently lost 4 lbs but I attribute that to stress and packing and going up and down stairs. Nothing wrong w/ losing a little weight.

Please send some positive thoughts my way.

Hugs

Deb

Deb,

I'm sorry you are going through this during your move.  What a stress it is to move.  Maybe that has something to do with it.  I will be keeping you in my thoughts and sending positive thoughts your way.  Good luck!

Kathy

Prayers on the way. Meanwhile there are other symptoms that might tell of a GI bleed. Did they ask any questions? Sounds like the doctors are on the ball by calling you right away. You have certainly been stressed and working way too hard. Please try to rest for the weekend. I know you are probably laughing at that statement, but I mean it. You do need to rest. If stuff still HAS to be done call on some help. I'm sure you have some friends willing to help. Hugs and prayers, MK

Thanks everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts. MK..they did ask several questions which I could honestly give a "no" answer to. I haven't had any unusual bruising. No dark stools. No shortness of breath (other than the norm) yes I am exhausted but, as I said, it has been a long month. Believe it or not, I am NOT doing any unpacking or packing or moving this weekend. Emma is having her 11th bday party tomorrow but it is going to be at a bowling alley and her mom is here to take care of all of that. She is having 4 gf spend the night tonite but I am closing myself in my room w/ my dvd player and some good movies.

Hi Deb, It's been awhile since I talked to you. I am sorry about that. You do have my prayers. I promise you that. I didn't know you were moving. I know how stressful that can be. I'll bet that could be causing this. Hope it is all OK soon. Love, Di

I've been through about 20 moves...just finished what I hope will be my last one for a GOOD many years...and I just can NOT imagine doing that while going through chemo, Deb! My gosh, girl! You are a glutton for punishment. Hope all is well. You need to slow down and take care of yourself. All that other stuff will still be there when you get through taking care of YOU!!!

Love and hugs...
