Hi all.  Made it through the museum without vicodin.  I took two tylenol before I left and I was ok.  Either the Doxil is working, or the tumor is not pushing/pulling on that muscle.  It hurts at times, but not that constant excruciating pain that I had.  Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes.
Now for the trip:  We had fun.  I only had 2 boys.  One was a pain in the neck kid (not my son, lol).  You know, the ones that keep running ahead.  THen there's me, trying to follow a map, wasn't happening.  We kept going round in circles.  At one point we had about 5 minutes to get to the BUtterfly Experience.  That was up 2 flights of stairs.  They were running, I was lagging.  BY the top, I had to stop.  My son and  I were cracking up at how slow I have become.  We made it though.  We also did the IMAX (Galapagos Islands) and the Planetarium.  It was great, very tiring though.  The boy I had, lost his disposable camera, his candy, his notebook.  Not a good day for him.  Then when we got back, I told him I wanted to see his mom so I knew he was going to get home safe.  No such thing, he took off into the crowd.  I tried to find  him, but the teacher just told me to go.  We got home about 4:30 and onto the couch I went.

I'm glad you made it without the Vicodin. It really sounds like you had an exhausting but fun? day. How did you get the run ahead kid, did the teacher assign him to you or is he your son's friend? I bet the Imax was great. They have changed the Imax at our museum to run full length films. I was excited to hear that, the first is Polar Express. I hope we can go while the kids are off over Christmas. Hugs MK

OK, I'm glad you were able to handle the pain okay.  The trip sounds like it was interesting.  I miss the museum.  You are a brave soul for taking the runner.  I'm glad your son and you laughed.  I am imagining it.
Vic.  Keep on living it up.  You are terriffic!!!

That sounds like a very fun but tiring day...The good thing is that your son will look back and say how tough you were to do this during treatment. So glad that the pain is better. Relax today and have a great thanksgiving.

Vicky: I am so glad that you survived and w/out the pain meds! You are one brave woman. I remember when I went to the St. Louis Art Museum w/ my younger dd's 6th grade class. (she is now 27) My best friends son was also in the same class so the 2 of us decided that we would combine our groups (4 girls and 4 boys) The boys were sooooooo excited. Couldn't wait for the picnic lunch to be over. Once we got the ok, the took off running w/ my friend and I trying to keep up. Well, as we approached the entrance where the boys were standing, looking at this bron ze sculpture of a huge horse and its rider, we overheard one of them say..."see, my brother was right. Look at the size of the balls on that horse". We almost died of embarrassment! That was an indiciation of how the entire tour went. We still tease our kids about this 15 yrs later.
