OK, now this is hard to deal with.  I'm having a hard time with my fingers being so cold.  It's like there's a line across the ball of my hand and after it is cold and before it is warm.  Feet too, right after the balls of my feet, the toes are cold.  It almost feels like they're not part of me.  I try to take it a day at a time and be grateful for my blessings, but I can't help but think of five years of this discomfort.  Oh, talk me down ladies!!!

Why is this for 5 years? I have very cold fingers and toes too, my middle finger turns white and numb when I get cold. I asked my surgeon if this was related to node surgery, since it seemed that I noticed it after that. He doubted that...I asked about Reynaud's, and he said that I do not have all the criteria for Reynaud's syndrome, but it is Reynaud's-like. Anyway, I go to bed with socks, down slippers and a down comrorter till I warm up...

You may want to research and ask about other causes...not sure it is related to any BC treatment..

I understand that this can be caused be chemo. I was told by someone who has it that their onc said neuropathy with hands and feet can happen and her onc. checks for it. I have noticed my feet and front of my legs get weird. I actually have to wear polaric socks until my feet warm also. I never had to do this until I took Tax. Hugs Joyce

Interesting, Joyce....maybe there is a connection. I did not to Taxol, so I can't blame it on that. Frankly, I wondered if I always felt that way and just noticed it more recently.

Sending warm hugs...

Neuropathy is usually a numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. I have had this since my first round of taxol. I never had a problem w/ my fingers and toes being cold. Check w/ your onco. If it is neuropathy, there are meds that you can take to help reverse the symptoms.

Before I started it, my onc told me that arimidex has the side effect of finger and toe..(I can't remember if he said tingling or cold or both).  I will call him.  Didn't think there would be meds for it, but maybe there are.  It's a really wierd feeling.
