I have had the sneezes, sniffles, miserables for about three weeks or more.  I kept putting off doing anything for Christmas til I felt better.  Well, guess what?  We are eight days away and I have the worst sore throat I have ever had in my life, I really feel awful and in two days we will get company for Christmas.  No cards sent out, no tree put up, very little shopping done and here I sit.  I can't even scream, no sound would come out.  I didn't go to the doctor because I have had no fever and no real sign of infection. I think I was wrong and should have gone, now I have to wait until next week, she is not in on Fridays.  I just wanted to say I am thinking of you all and hoping you are doing well.  Hugs and prayers,  MK

MK, that's awful! Do you have those urgent care facilities where you live? I would go to one of those and follow up with the doctor next week. Get yourself well, woman!

Love and hugs...

MK: What are we going to do w/ you? confused   You need to go to an urgent care center, as Bev said. Lots of peeps around here have sinus infections and are really sick. No fever though. Get on an antibotic and get well!

Gentle hugs...Deb

So sorry that you are feeling so bad, I have to agree with the rest of the ladies you need to get into the Dr to get started on some drugs. If it makes you feel just a little better I have not started decorating yet either. Iam so far behind this year, it seems like all I do is wait on hubby while he is unable to help. I hope you get well soon so that you can enjoy the season.

Happy holidays to you!
Hugs:)

OK I called my drs answering service this morning and she called me back and is ordering some Rx for me soon as drug store opens. Since I am on HMO and she is PC I had to go through her, but I never expected to have her call me back so quickly. I guess I should have done that yesterday morning. I did take some Cipro I found yesterday but she said that won't work, it sounded like a virus rather than a bacterial infection, which is what I figured, too. Thanks for all your advice and sympathy. Bernadette don't you be overdoing it without help from your husband. Hugs MK

MK: I am so glad that you called your dr. That is unbelievable that she called you back so soon. Now take your own advice and don't overdo. Give the antibotic 48 hrs to kick in and then go to it.

Healing hugs...Deb

Hi MK...hope you are on the mend now. I had something that I got over T-giving vacation, I was so worn down and stressed from the move and other activities, that after a week and totally losing my voice, I went to the doctor too, got on an antibiotic. Much better now, but still tired and ready for a vacation.

Hopefully you will feel like your old self again before the holidays...

so glad that you got some meds to help you. The holiday season is not the time for being sick. I have been over doing for days now. I made 3 bathces of my chex party mix, chocolate peanut butter cookies and sugar cookies on top of all of the regular chores I needed to do. We do sugar cookies every year and then decorate them and I could not let this disease take away our holiday tradition.
I hope you are feeling better now, and don't you overdo either.

Happy holidays & much love to you
Hugs:)
Bernadette
