Thanks for the update, Annette. That is a very long surgery and not the easiest to recover from. Please keep us posted as you learn more news. Hugs MK

Hi everyone!  I'm home - came home yesterday.  Yes, the surgery was long, but went very well.  My plastic surgeon is very pleased.  He said it's the healthiest tram flap he's seen.  The surgery done in Dec. really worked.

It's strange having a mound again after more than a year without one.  My discomfort is, of course, the abdomen.  I was having excrutiating gas pains in the hospital and not able to get any relief.  Finally, Sat. night and Sunday, I was able to pass some gas (sorry for the graphics) and that helped.  The surgeon let me take my own herbal supplement that is the only thing that helps my constipation.  Finally got some relief there this morning.

So now it's just relaxing at home and recovering.  Thanks for being there.  You REALLY made a mess in the OR!  Pink feathers everywhere!
L & H,
Kathy

Kathy! Wow, you are already home?! That is great! So good to hear you are doing so well. Take it easy and let DH wait on you hand and foot, LOL.

So glad you are home. I thought that was a 5 day stay. I guess not. Take good care -- so happy you are doing well.

So glad your surgery went so well. I feel for you with the abdomen pain its not much fun. I hope you have lots of people to help, at least for a week. Take it easy and dont overdo because it will make it worse. How does it feel to have boobs again????
Hugs:)

I'm growing to love my new boob.  It's so firm!  Now I have to fix the other one.  It's saggy!  LOL  I told my husband before all this that in the end, if I could get away with only wearing a sports bra, I'll be very happy.  Or, better yet, no bra at all!  LOL  Can you tell - I hate bras.

Kathy

I wish I could wear a sports bra but d cups dont look too good that way!!! Iam thinking about having some work done too. My right breast is so much smaller since the lumpectomy. My Onc Dr said that alot of insurance companies will cover it and a lift for the larger one so Im looking into it. I would love to have them be the same size again. Im going to mexico in May and would like to have my swimming suit fit properly but don't think I will have time before then. Im going on an all girls vacation, 4 of my sister in laws and me. I cant wait they are tons of fun.

I hope you are healing fast and are able to get up and around.
Hugs:)
Bernadette
