Judy,
Thank you for your kind words. I have been having a hard time since surgery I have been crying a lot. I guess I'm just a little down. I head back to work tomorrow that should help. You don't relize how often you brush your breast in a day until it hurts like heck and gets your attention. Healing more everyday.
Hope you are doing well. How far out from your dx are you?
Think I will head to bed, long day tomorrow.
Stay well!

Donna, hope you had a good day and that you are feeling much better. I don't think any of us expect to feel bad when we are trying so hard to make ourselves look better and feel better, but somehow this disease and its aftermath does wreak more havoc than any of us can prepare for.

As for me, I am fourteen months post mastectomy, 8 months post chemo and 5 months post radiation and looking forward to reconstruction sometime towards the end of the year. I need to get up the courage for the surgery and also to change my healthcare insurance again so I can use my preferred surgeon. I made a mistake when I chose this plan at the end of last year and can not change again until Decembe.

"Fluff-up" your hair and make-up soon and maybe you will feel better. Hats of to you for your courage, and I look forward to reading a positive post from you soon.

Judy,
Thank you so much. I had a very good day, I am back to work and I love my job and am in less pain today. I also went to sign up to be an angel at our cancer center. I think helping someone else is just what I need right now.You are sure right about this disease wreaking havoc on us and it always is when we least expect it.

I was afraid that I would chicken out so I just jumped in and I'm sure in a month I will be happy that I did it.

How did I do I fluffed up my hair and touched up my makeup and had a much better day.
You have a lot of courage yourself and thanks for the pep talk.
Thanks have a good night and stay well
Donna
