haven't checked the board for a couple  of weeks, and I am so sad to hear that Shelley has left us.  What I remember most about Shelley is how badly she wanted that baby!  Oh, my gosh.  That was her main concern...  can I still have a baby.  To bring a little one into this world and find out so quickly after that you'll have to leave her...how I wish that Shelley could have watched her grow up!  If there are guardian angels, that little girl will have one for sure.

My thoughts go out to her family...

It just hurts when one of our sisters is taken from us by this dämned disease. It is also so hard to look at our St Louis pictures and know so many have gone home.

And it's most tragic that so many young mothers are dx'd. Something is very wrong when pregnant women find they've got it, and mother's like Shelley have to leave their young children behind.

I'm just tired as hëll waiting for a cure. We needed it yesterday and we probably won't have it tomorrow. Sure looks we got the short stick between b/c and prostrate cancer. Their's is 99% curable and ours has no cure. How bad does that suck?

Angry again, Jo-Ann

I want to know when the doctors are going to start telling women that no it is not safe nor smart to have a child after you have been diagnosed.  And I don't care if you are ER + or ER -.  I want to know when an ultrasound on your breasts in your 30's will be considered routine.  I want to know when a drug is going to come out that will not only prevent a reaccurance AND not cause another type of cancer.  I want to know how many more Mom's need to die before a cure is found.  I want to  know who in Washington is concerned about this and trying to do something about it.  I want to know when a fricken cure is going to be found.  I am really sick of racing for the cure that no one is really trying to cure.  I am tired of crying when I look at pictures and realize I am never going to see these women on earth again.

Oh yea... I am pretty tired of tax returns too....... but that is another rant for another board.

I agree also, Annette. These questions need to be answered. I am procrastinating doing just my income tax on Turbo Tax which is really quite simple anymore, short form, etc. I would hate to face what you face. Love MK

Annette

I agree with you 100% I don't think congress is doing enough to help find a cure.

Can't say that I agree on the tax thing, we got almost $6,000 back yahoo.

Annette dreads tax time because she works for a tax prep place and it is such a busy, maddening time. Good for you Bernadette for getting so much back. I am assuming you had some terrible costs in order to do that, tho!!!! (Hugs for you).

This post shamed me into installing my Turbo Tax and taking the plunge. I was pleasantly surprised that we will get some back this year instead of having to pay. I had figured it would be close one way or another since I finished my disability pay which dropped our income significantly this year. Thanks for making me get on the schtick and getting it done.
