Just heard on Fox news that Chery Crowe, of the Lance Armstrong fame, had minimally invasive BC surgery this week!! What a surprise

Not really a surpise to me.  She is in her late 40's and I will venture to guess that at some time in her life she took birth control pills, she has no children, and if you want to believe the gossip on those two  she was in for fertility treatments to have a child.  Just my out-look on it.
The  odds when I was first diagnosed was 1 in 8 women, now only 6 years later it is 1 in 7. The odds against us are not improving like the news media would like you to believe.

We have raced "for the Cure"
Worn Lee's Jeans on Friday "for the Cure"
Bought New Balance tennis shoes "for the cure"
Worn pink ribbon pins "for the cure"
Collected donations "for the cure"
Ate pink M&M's "for the cure"
Drank Sutter Home wine "for the cure"
Spent an extra $.08 on a stamp "for the cure"
Ate Lean Cuisine frozen dinners "for the cure"
We have all done our part "for the cure"
now you do yours and get us that cure.

You know my youngest daughter (Northern KY) was in fertility treatment for several years. Her sister and I have both been diagnosed but so far she has not. She does go to a breast specialist for her mammograms and they are keeping a VERY close eye on her. I usually feel that the older women have more a chance without recurrance.

My grand daughter's father's girlfriend that I mentioned several weeks ago was diagnosed and had positive nodes. Her doctor told her she had an aggressive form, so she is scheduled for chemo and radiation after she heals from surgery. She had a lumpectomy. I still haven't called her and I know I need to do that, but then Erica told her to feel free to call me and she hasn't either. I guess it is a tricky situation because of the divorce, etc. So I hate to be pushy.

I heard a bit on this over the weekend, but they didn't go into detail.  Just said she was diagnosed with BC.
MK, I hope your granddaughter's father's girlfriend has an easy time with her treatment.  I'm sure the family would understand if you call her.  It's a tough thing to go through and you would be a tremendous help to her.
L & H,
