After all I went through with my med onc and my rads onc (you remember, they told me I would die), I went to a new med onc today. I really liked him. He knows my other onc and is surprised, saying she has really changed. He was shocked that my path  was HER 3+ but tested I tested neg on the FISH test. Said he had never heard of that before, also says his practice is full of many women with recurrences and also said that he does believe in routine lab tests but not routine scans. Likes lab tests b/c they seem very predictive of mets to liver and bones.  Well, what do you know. Every one's cancer and every one's cancer doc is different. I think I'll keep this one b/c I liked him, and besides, I need someone to write my prescription to Arimidex. I told him I  never had a problem with my treatment from original docs -- I thought they and they and the treatment were great-- maybe a little aggressive, but I didn't mind. He agreed with its aggressiveness and by the way he did stage my disease -- "kinda a IIA -- the tumor was at 2 cm you know."

By the way, still NO problems with this drug. If you can't tell, I feel a little better today after talking to him. He said I had passed the one year critical mark that that is reall GOOD.

That's great.  It is SO important to like and trust your doctors.  Sounds like this one's a keeper.

Hey, guys, I got up this am and my right arm is somewhat swollen in the bicep area. It is not hot, maybe a little warm. I have noticed a "funny feeling" for the past week as my arm rests against my body. I have not been carrying much weight -- I never do. Is this common 15 months after surgery.
