Well, tomorrow's the big day.  The biopsy on the left showed benign breast tissue, so we're back to plan A....right breast mastectomy, expanders, yada, yada, yada. I'm feeling OK now, because I'm so busy trying to get things wrapped up that my head is spinning.  I have a feeling once my head hits the pillow, the emotions will come.

I also wanted to let you know of a great gift I received.  I work from home, which gives me tremendous flexibility in doing just about whatever I want during my recovery, but someone I worked with campaigned to have employees donate a vacation day to me, and they've donated 30 vacation days for me to use however I wish!  I was too touched for words!!! One great thing about this disease...you really get to see how much people care about you. Will update you on my recovery when I'm home and feeling up to it.

Thanks for your support, Pam

What a thoughtful and generous gift. How wonderful for you to know that the others care. Somone offered some days to me too, thankfully, I did not need them, but the offer was so genuine and heartfelt. Nice to see how people shine in times like this.

Good luck tomorrow...we'll all be there with you. Tell the doc to make sure he has a large enough room for us all and pardon the pink feathers we'll be dropping....

L&H,

Lori

Well you know PCE is there. Pink feathers and all. That little tickle under the nose is us. L&H Joyce

{{{Pam}}}  I'll be on the PCE too... and will be bringing along prayers and pink feathers.  Your co-workers deserve a special hug... it's so nice when others care.  Rest and lean on the love surrounding you.

Love and Hugs, Libby

Pam - I will be boarding the plane too. I didnt have any expanders put in, so I'm not sure how that will affect your recovery, but I am up and back to normal, 10 days after my surgery. I'm hoping that you will have as good of a recovery, and take it easy. We'll be thinking about you. Update us when you can.

Good Luck!
Chantry

Pam:

The donations are so thoughtful.  I'm so glad you have that support.  Hope you have as comfortable a time as possible.  Remember to think a good thought just when you are about to go under.....It makes the dreams better and the experience better right afterwards.  I did a study on it (been under 14 times so I tested the theory out).  I found for myself, thinking of God was a sure ticket.

I'll be thinking about you and will be following the PCE in my Mustang.  Just got the oil changed so it's ready to go!

I asked the mechanic, but he can't for the life of him figure out how to get it to give pink exhaust!!!!!

This is the day after your tomorrow's surgery. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you today and hoping all went well and that you will be back telling us all about it soon. Remember that a mastectomy is major surgery. You need to take time to heal well before resuming the usual chores, etc. Rest, good food and more rest will help most. Take advantage of the opportunity to rest all you can. Hugs MK
